Duminica seara, la Los Angeles, a avut loc gala MTV Europe Music Awards prezentata de comedianul englez Russell Brand.
Marele cistigator al acestei editii a fost Britney Spears cu melodia “Piece of Me”. Starul pop a plecat cu trofeul la toate cele trei categorii unde a fost nominalizata: Best Female Video, Best Pop Video, si Video of the Year.
